With financial commitments in place we are thrilled to unveil the design for new Port Esperance Sailing Club build.
Following community consultation, detailed designs have been developed that will provide for a
universal-access community space with clubrooms, underfloor storage for boats, a bar, commercial
standard kitchen and toilet and shower facilities.
Funding for the re-build has been confirmed with the Tasmanian Government making a significant
financial commitment, supplementing the insurance payout and donations following the fire.
PESC’s Commodore, Matt Wardell, said ‘We are delighted that the Tasmanian Government
recognises the importance of the sailing club to Dover and the Far South community. We are very
grateful to the Government and others who have contributed to our fundraising efforts.’
PESC is currently seeking expression of interest for the construction of the new clubhouse. Please contact us at build@pesc.com.au with any suggestions!
Final design plans are also now available to view on our build page.
